All of these cars are expected in the September / October timeframe from Walthers.

All I can say is...FINALLY.  If you've been following along, then you know I've been after this one for awhile now.  The situation was looking hopeless and futile.  It's a good week.

Quick, what color is this van?  I'll tell you what colors it is not.  It's not orange.  It's not yellow.  It's not lime.  It's definitely NOT painted (the stripe is suspect, looks like tape - and the silver trim around the windshield seems custom...but...)

So, as you can imagine I was very excited about finding this in a large lot.  That is, until I solved the mystery.  Can you?

Fortunately or unfortunately for me, it's getting ever more difficult (and expensive) for me to come up with anything new for my collection.  I have plenty to work on that I haven't shown off, but this one had to come to the front of the queue.  I've only seen it on eBay 3 times now - the first two times it was by itself and despite some pretty generous sniping I still lost.  This time it was buried in with 3 sets and a bunch of cars.  I think i finally now have all of the Firebirds.

I'm back.  Well, maybe you didn't notice I was gone but in any case... I'm back.  Back to the usual grind on Monday, in the meantime I need to learn how to make a good Mojito.  I shipped out all eBay purchases today, and am getting caught up on bills and mail and all the "fun" stuff ya gotta do after being away.  But...I gotta tell ya...my brain is still in Cancun.  If I could afford it, it would take me quite awhile to get bored at this place.  Another week sure would be nice.

I hadn't looked at this in awhile and well, it hasn't changed too much, so I thought I'd revisit this post and remind everyone to edit your profile and add your location.  I think it is fun to see where in the world we all are.

I plan to start featuring various aspects of the site you may not have discovered or have forgotten about. There are many features, some of which are buried and unless they get pointed out, they'll never get used or noticed.

One feature I think is pretty cool is the map showing where in the world we are.  For example, understanding that Aussie HO lives in Australia helps you quickly understand why sometimes he "talks funny". ;)  Or, is it very surprising to know that Tony lives in NC (aka The "DEEP" South?) LOL
