What are the data telling us?

Well Guys… what is the data telling us? I thought I would do a little experimenting to find out just how much bang for the buck I could get out of making incremental changes to a stock T-Jet.

Timing Computer

Well Guys,

I have gotten my Viasue Timing system just about finished. In keeping with the storability concept initiated with the Trundle Track I made the computer aspect of the timing system follow suit. The computer stand is small and compact and is on rollers. So all that has to be done to store it is disconnect and roll it away. All that is left to do is finish the computer stand to match the track. The pictures pretty much tell the story.

Getting speed using what you have... (A Modern Classic)

I recently got a T-Jet Cheetah off of EBay. When I got the car the body was in really good shape but it did not run. It had a solid rivet un-numbered chassis, Christmas Tree armature on a patent applied for gear plate, black magnets, and original wheels and tires. It looked to be all original from the early sixties including the tires. They were dry and cracked. I thought I would try to get the most speed out of the car I possibly could only using stuff that most of us have around the house.

Poor Man's Low Profile Tires

I have been looking at the "Fray" cars that Serge uses in his pictures and I was noticing how low the cars were to the track. That got me to thinking how could I make my cars lower to the track? I was especially interested in the front of the car because not only would it lower the center of gravity but it would put the guide pin just a little further in the track slot.

Economy Driver's Stations

Well Guys I am currently building some driver's stations for the trundle track. They had to be built into the track table. So my first order of business was to go to my local building supply warehouse and look for ideas and parts to build the stations.

Trundel Track (a.k.a. Fayetteville Motor Speedway) Finished

Well guys I have pretty much finished the Trundel Track, and here to for will be known as the "Fayetteville Motor Speedway". The track itself is done. The only thing that is left to do is build the driver stations and put down the lane marking tape. I'll do that in time but for now I can run on this puppy and that's what counts! Track Billboards

Well guys I started working on the billboards that are going on the inside of the track retaining walls. I used Microsoft's Paint Program that comes standard on all of their operating systems. All things considered I think they turned out fairly well. I used a color laser printer to print the billboards. If you don't have one then put the billboards on a flash drive and take it to your nearest Staples or Office Depot and have them use their laser printer and print them for you. The pictures pretty much tell the story.
