Aurora AFX Peterbilt Truck Cab.
This is just one in a series of still readily available truck cabs by Aurora.
Don't even think about racing these on anything with loops or fast sweeping bends as they will spin off.
The very high centre of gravity makes for some hairy driving and you will need to exercise great skill and patience. The trailers offer no magnet down force whatsoever and only increase flipability.
Still, they were a part of my youth and I have fond memories of AFX TV commercials promoting these trucks.

Submitted by moparmat2k on Tue, 02/09/2010 - 23:11.angel you need to kitbash an aussie truck train out of these. that would be cool. i love these trucks i haver an original afx express and aurora racing team pair. i am thinking of getting a rig cab from slot car central next time i order, removing the sleeper, and making a race car flatbed. i wonder if a 4 gear chassis would be better for this as i can make it longer.
just me wanting to kitbash again LOL. any new news on the bodies yet?? send pix.

Getting your doors blown off!
Submitted by mountaindudetoo on Wed, 02/10/2010 - 20:23.Angel,
As you know I recently started club racing a few months back. Although some new guys buy race ready cars from other racer/builders, I decided to build my own cars. To make a long story short, let me tell you what happened to me. I built what I thought was an awesome XT chassis. I was ready to face the local racers with my best chassis/body combination. To my surprise our first bi-weekly race was a pot luck. What does that mean? It means that everyone had to pick a body out of a hat. I was lucky and picked a Turbo BMW, great body right? (not so fast). The best racer in our club picked a truck not so different from yours. How do you think I felt when I got my doors blown off in the straights by a Semi!
