Aurora AFX Williams Saudia F1 #1 - 1981 Alan Jones.
A fantastic Aurora AFX car. It took a little while to find but it finally came my way. It's missing the rear wing sticker but I have it on good authority from Ray that getting a repro' decal sheet isn't a problem. My first version of this car had been painted over in a different colour so of course I had to hunt down an original car.
Despite 1981 World F1 Champion Alan Jones being an Aussie, I really don't know a great deal about him. I do recall at the time F1 was going through massive changes with both turbo and normally aspirated engines competing in the same events with very uneven parity. New rules made way for fairer competition with control tyres, stricter engine rules and vastly improved driver safety.
