Here is some news from Chase's family:
Hope this update finds everyone doing well! We have been blessed with a few months of "normal life." Chase reported to clinic the week before Thanksgiving and everything was fine. Chase has been busy growing up. Doing "normal" things like chipping his front tooth on the playground at school and getting into everything his big sister, Olivia, is doing. Chase will start working with a speech therapist in Jan. Chase's doctors say this is a common thing for children who have gone thru Chemo and have been "isolated" from the outside world. (note: Olivia is an amazing little girl. She understands everything Chase says... or even thinks, I believe.)
Olivia and Faith are busy growing up as well. Olivia is learning to spell and read and Faith is on the go crawling and pulling up on everything. I believe the third child grows up much faster than the first two.
Chase will go for scans at the end of January. Thank you for the love and support of our family!
We had a great time at the hardware store while my slot car display was up for the month of December. Chase really liked the McQueen car and the Mystery Machine. Hopefully, will have some pics of the kids to post real soon. I miss them so much now. Will post another update after Chase gets his test results back.

For awhile.
1/31/12 - Day one of Scans done! Chase was anxious most all day (rightly
so). He remembers EVERYTHING. So the distract method is not
effective at all. But all things considered, Chase handled everything in
stride today. The IV was a bit traumatic, but after it was in, Chase
looked at Mom and said, "Me got big muscles so it not hurt"
Chase tries to be so brave, but at one point, he was shaking with
anticipation.
2/9/12 - Another set of scans DONE.....AMEN
Results = CLEAN.........AMEN
Our prayers have been answered once again! Chase made it safely
through his tests. We tried a little Adevan(sp) to relieve some of
the anxiety. Chase still put up some resistance to the "mask". But
the good news is Chase was asleep in seconds and does not remember
any of it.
Playin' slot cars with the Man! Unfortunately, out of the Bazillion-kerjillion photos Chase's Dad took, only 2 came out. The rest were just black squares. Bummer. And half the white lane dropped power just when the kids got there, so the pix that did come out were while I was getting that fixed. All the "racing action" ones are gone forever. Double bummer!
I wish y'all could meet Chase. He's definitely changed my life.
