New: "Exclusive" Ultra-G's from Auto World

Hmmm.  What can we do to charge more for a little car?  I know.  Let's make it exclusive!  My question is...is it more or less exclusive than the white batmobile that seems to be EVERYWHERE?  Personally I've already said "never again" with these gimmicks.

"This Auto World Exclusive '41 Willys Coupe is a flamin’ hot slot car body on our ThunderJet Ultra G chassis. This classic ThunderJet chassis is a favorite of racers of all ages, and this timeless Willys Coupe is jazzed up with red flames on a flat black paint job. The smoke gray windows and electroplated chrome rims add to the coolness factor!

The classic muscle car gets the Auto World Exclusive treatment! The ThunderJet 500 chassis sits underneath the ’70 Ford Mustang Boss body, ready to hit the track. The flat black paint has yellow flames racing across it, and smoke gray windows and electroplated chrome rims make this exclusive a sharp car."

I was sucker punched by the IWheels Batmobile.  The price I payed would have been acceptable if the issue would have been a 1 of 250 made.  Who knows how many have been produced since.  They are still available.  I find it funny that AW is offering a quantity of 'only' 1524 as an exclusive.  If AW offered these cars at the same unit price as the main issue the purchase would be made.

For chuckles, I added them to the cart and got a shipping estimate of over $12 to ship 2 little cars by ground.  That part reminded me of my "ya fooled me once" with the iwheels thing.  I paid dearly for my first white batmobile on ebay, then when I was able to get some to resell I did.  By the time I actually got them the prices had dropped below what I paid.  To this day I still haven't even opened the shipping box.
