Racing or Collecting?

Hey There!

I've been trying to put together a blog about aftermarket tires and rims, but there's enough information out there to give you brain damage. Unfortunately it will have to wait until I get more organized. In the mean time I'd like to share another issue concerning brain damage. This is something that we have all come across before, and will again. "When do you race a car or put it away on a shelf." Here is a dragster that is at the crossroad.

I don't think you want to hear the answer!

Have fun out there and keep it between the ditches!

Serge I ponder this quite often and I do have several cars that I have put away for safe keeping. Most of those are either hard to find and or just too nice to chance damaging. I have had good luck finding "runners" as duplicates for the ones I really enjoy watching go around the high banks and don't have to worry about damaging them. If I do decide to pull one out of the garage for a little spin it is always on the road course where there is grass outside the curves. If I launch one off the high banks it has a bit of a verticle flight before touchdown.

Dave and Serge; As you know I run all of my cars including my childhood ones albeit carefully and skillfully I might add to keep them out of the ditches. Besides-Riverside has no ditches and the generous application of rubber Atlas hay bales along all curves on the layout sure do help with preservation. God Bless! TonyCoolmgbbrown

I race my cars too, and for that matter so does my Son... Unfortunately he has not learned to keep it out of the ditches yet, he almost seems to aim for them.
