Apparently I've been transported to the great northwest or something.  Call me Nanook of the North.  "They" are now saying 30" or more.  Have I mentioned I hate snow?

Aussie Ho's picture

Ray. 30" of anything is a helluva' lot. I'm sorry you hate the snow but at least it looks kinda' nice.

I'm so glad we only have to stomach drought, raging bushfires, funnel web spiders, and great white sharks !

funnel web spider.

A Wink

Angel; I hate bugs so if I had to come across this hairy funnel web spider I would choose snow for sure! MAN! God Bless! TonyCoolmgbbrown

This thing is gonna give me nightmares...sheesh!

Aussie Ho's picture

Ray. You can relax as they only exist here, and there is an anti-venom now. But I do recall several people dying from bites before they developed the serum.

Thankfully, they are shy spiders and do not inhabit homes.

Small comfort I guess for the few that get bitten.

My folks are in Manchester, New Jersey, getting hammered with the blizzard. so much for that fat jerk Al Gore, and his global warming carbon credits scam.

But out here in West Texas we get some snow and ice, of course nobody knows how to drive on it. these idiots think if you have antilock brakes you can do 50 mph on icy roads.

Not to try to top you Angel, we in Texas have diamond back rattle snakes, scorpions, black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, fire ants, and killer bees. tornados, hail, and flooding

I hear your jack jumper ants are pretty nasty too.

I have been here 15 years havent died yet. Oh well!

Ray- just pay some local kids to shovel you out. You will be saving your back, and showing them a bit about how capitalism, and hard work pays off. Stay safe 'n warm.

Matt. No contest. You win !

Matt; my guess is that whatever nightmare grows in Texas it is bigger, hairier, nastier, and grosser than just about anywhere else. In our neck of the woods we have water bugs, rattlers, cotton mouths, coral snakes, fire ants, killer bees, but not the dreaded jack jumping ants! God Bless! TonyCoolmgbbrown

jack jumpers are in australia, and are very aggressive ants, and have pretty deadly stings. i am sure angel has heard of them

Ray; Nanook of the North was THE classic cultural anthropology film when I was studying to be a bone digger. Maybe you should watch it and learn how to make an igloo! Just kidding! Stay warm Lad! God Bless! TonyCoolmgbbrown
