Hey There,
I don't even know what to call these; "track side pit trays", "driver's station boxes", or maybe "tuning station"? What I do know is that they are handy. Making track side repairs during a race is a no no, but there is no rule about tweeking a car at a driver's station during practice. At some venues there are a couple days of open tuning before the first event; that's when these boxes shine.

I just finished this particular box this morning. It's specifically designed for my own tools. Some guys prefer a slot for tape (tire cleaning), rather than a warm up box. Some have different routers, different oil, different screw drivers or whatever. It's up to you!
After a period of R&D and feedback, I'll probably start mass producing these. I know I'll need a few versions, that's why I built a removeable tool platform on the prototype. I can easily try other configurations without building more boxes. The first thing is to make sure these fit in the most tackle boxes (pit kits).
Anyway, If you have the skills and the desire, you might want to give one of these a try.
Later, Serge
