soldering Tomy track
Posted by dporter on Thu, 2012-01-05 12:56can anyone direct me to a tutorial/instruction on soldering Tomy track joints to assure I won't buckle the plastic? Thanks.

Posted by tabco on Thu, 2012-01-05 21:24The best advice I have seen was passed on by Serge, or in comments on something Serge wrote?? The point was to place the track to be soldered, top-down, on a wet towel. This worked well for me, along with the usual stuff about preparing a good joint, getting everything clean, minimize the amount of heat you feed into the joint, normal soldering stuff.
