Hey There! I'd like to share some more customs that I was privileged to see. The Mustang Funny Car is my favorite although the 1960 "squarebird" is kool too. Several of these cars were published.

The Kastleberg Raceway

Las Vegas, Nevada is the home of the Kastleberg Raceway, a two lane Tomy track with custom made sections to replicate a road course in the Ardun Forest. Taking the owner over three years to build, the layout was recently auctioned on ebay for the reserve of $2500 US dollars- a modest sum in my opinion. No Las Vegas glitz here. All things Aurora

As many of you already know, I love most cars made by Aurora Plastics. The T-jets are my favorite and HO scale is the most practical for me collect due to their smaller size. However I do come across some other Aurora oddities from time to time while I'm out trolling for more cars to add to my collection. A few weeks ago I found this K&B 1/24 Ready to Run Cooper F-1 Wild Cat (circa 1966) slot car in running condition with the original owners manual. $20 seemed like a fair price as I have never seen one of these in person before.

I know that this site is dedicated to HO cars but this is a pretty cool and hardly seen item and I wanted to share it with the other members. I don't plan on collecting or racing this car or scale of cars but I like to buy this stuff if the price is right in an effort to educate myself and broaden my horizons to other slot car stuff out there. It will most likely go to ebay this holiday season to someone who will hopefully appreciate it and give it a good home. In the meantime, I will enjoy it myself.

The first in a series from HO_Xtras! Aurora's 1/48 scale O gauge cars were great designs but the use of the Thundejet armature made them slow. Today they are very collectible and we plan to release them all in HO scale. Bodies will be priced at $14.99 and available this September!

Three more great looking Aurora TJets. The pick of them the all black Cougar. I've near bottomed out on Aurora TJet purchases as I now have pretty much what I've been after. Not sure I've actually completed a collection yet so will need to thoroughly research exactly what I've got against what was/is available.

Hey, gang, I was at a local (Wake Forest) toy store this evening and discovered a lot of 5 or 6 Life-Like HO slot cars. They are on clearance for $8.00 each plus NC tax. Not sure what chassis it is and the bodies are no one famous. But if you're interested, let me know and I'll pick them up for you. Spaz Stix Chrome

I thought I'd give an update on how SpazStix Chrome worked for me. I took a clean red Thunderbird body and sprayed the chrome paint directly on it. One full coat. What do you think?
